My Grandma is Turning 101
As my grandmother approaches her 101st birthday next week, I couldn't help but imagine reaching that milestone myself one day. This got me thinking a lot about how much our genes influence living long, healthy lives. I have always assumed that if my grandparents lived to be 100, I must have inherited good longevity genes too but it turns out that we have more control over our lifespan than we might realize.

She has received gene therapies targeting important processes like muscle mass, telomeres, and mitochondria.

AthenaDAO has just released a report focusing on the critical yet overlooked issue of gynecological cancers.
This report reveals a profound reality: Despite cancer being the most funded area of biomedical research, gynecological cancers have been left behind. These cancers are often diagnosed at later stages due to the absence of effective screening tests leading to limited survival rates, and removing organs such as the uterus and/or ovaries, impacting women's bodies and reproductive health.
It's time to push for innovative solutions, early detection, funding, research, and increased awareness to bridge this gap.
